I love to simply cook chicken in the crockpot to also add to other meals later on. I love chicken soup and it is so easy to make.

Chicken soup is really easy. You just add your chicken, some chopped onions, celery, carrots and some seasonings like parsley, salt and pepper and then add water. Cook it for about 8 hours. Remove the chicken and debone it, then shred it and put it back in. You can cook noodles or rice separately and add it to the soup when you serve it.

My mother used to make a Slavic type of chicken soup called Imoc. It was the same ingredients as you just posted except no noodles or rice, just potatoes. Then when you serve it you add a teaspoon of vinegar in the bowl. Some people may like more or less vinegar in theirs so that's why you do not add it to the soup itself. It was one of my childhood favorites although I have not heard of anyone else making it this way since.
