Slow Cooker Melt Away Ribs

Ingredients
  • 2-3 lb slab of pork baby back ribs
  • 4 c apple juice
  • 2 T Greek seasoning
  • 2 T liquid smoke
  • 2 T dried minced onion
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 2 T cold water
Instructions
  1. Cut ribs into 3-4 ribs sections, place aside
  2. Mix together apple juice, Greek seasoning, liquid smoke and dried minced onion in large slow cooker
  3. Place ribs in mixture
  4. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours
  5. Reduce heat to low and cook for 1-2 additional hours
  6. When ribs are tender, take 2 cups of liquid from the slow cooker and pour into a small saucepan
  7. Bring liquid to a boil over medium-high heat
  8. While liquid is coming to a boil, whisk together cornstarch and water
  9. Pour cornstarch mixture into boiling liquid, stirring constantly until liquid thickens into a gravy
  10. Serve ribs with gravy
 
I have to really look for the liquid smoke. I guess it might be with the bbq sauce. Thanks for sharing.
 
The liquid smoke may be near the bbq sauces, or by where you get steak sauce or soy sauce stuff. Each store is different in where they stock it.
