Gluten Free Slow Cooker Ham & Cabbage Soup (Crock Pot Recipe)

3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into small (about ½") chunks
3 medium carrots, peeled and diced
1-1½ lbs lean cooked ham, cut into small chunks
1 medium onion, diced
1 small head cabbage, chopped into small pieces
4 cups chicken broth or 4 cups water and 4 chicken bouillon cubes (Herb Ox is GF)
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ cup water

Place all ingredients except cornstarch and ¼ cup water in a 4-5 quart slow cooker. Cook on low 8-9 hours or on high 4-5 hours. Just before serving, combine cornstarch with ¼ cup water until smooth. Stir into soup. Cover and cook on high for 15 minutes or until soup is thickened.

Roger found a family pack of pork neck bones at (Our Store is called Schnouck ?( sp) It was a family pack as I said and he got it for $5. some had a lot of meat on them so we BBQ"d on out air cooker, we grilled them Then we made soup out of some of them. I think we grill the rest plain. They were very good flavor and we Got 3 good sizes meals and he took some to work the next day. All for $5. If that was used in you cabbage soup just think that would taste.
