1 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar, divided
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tbs milk
2 Tbs vegetable oil
2 c fresh blackberries or frozen blackberries
2 c fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries
3/4 c water
1 tsp orange zest
Mix flour, 3/4 cup sugar, and next 4 ingredients.
Combine eggs, milk, and oil- stir into dry ingredients until just moistened.
Spread batter evenly onto the bottom of a greased 5-quart slow cooker.
In a saucepan, combine berries, water, orange peel and remaining sugar.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat; immediately pour over batter.
Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tests done.
Turn cooker pot,uncover and let stand for 30 minutes.
