Crock Pot Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • Lasagna Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs cooked ground hamburger meat
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 2 jars marinara sauce
  • 1/2 box lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 (2 lb) tub ricotta cheese
  • 2-3 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Homemade Sauce ingredients:
  • Garlic – about 10-12 cloves
  • 3 (15 oz cans) of Hunts tomato sauce (This is super important….in my opinion, it needs to be Hunts. I have tried other brands, organic included and although it still turns out fantastic, it doesn’t taste the same…so Hunts it is!).
  • 1 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 tablespoon Parsley flakes
  1. Add a little olive oil to a skillet and cook onions until caramelized
  2. Add hamburger meat to onions (season with your favorite seasonings – I use season salt, garlic, oregano and lemon juice) until browned, then add marinara sauce (see my recipe below or buy some, or make your favorite kind). Simmer while making mixture below.
  3. Combine ricotta cheese, salt, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and egg.
  4. Spray crock pot with cooking spray,
  5. Start layering in the crock pot. Add a layer of meat (doesn’t need to be thick)
  6. Then add a layer of uncooked noodles
  7. Then a layer of the cheese mixture

  1. You will then repeat those layers one more time
  2. Finish with the rest of the meat sauce and 1-2 cups mozzarella cheese.
  3. Cook on low for 3 hours low
