Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins that our body can actually produce with some sunlight exposure. It’s also one of the most beneficial vitamins to our body.

Here are some of its wonderful benefits.

    1. It reduces the risk of multiple sclerosis.

    2. It boosts the immune system.

    3. It repairs DNA and speeds up metabolic processes.

    4. It fights all kinds of infections like influenza.

    5. It helps people with tuberculosis recover more rapidly.

    6. It helps in maintaining cognitive functions.

    7. It can reduce the frequency and severity of asthma symptoms.

    8. It can prevent you from developing a heart disease.

    9. It decreases your chance of developing the flu.

    10. It helps women avoid the development of rheumatoid arthritis.

    11. It serves as the body’s main protection from radiation damage.

    12. It also plays a major role in maintaining a healthy body weight.

    13. It has a vital role in the absorption and metabolism of highly important vitamins like calcium and phosphorous.

Once I had a problem with my teeth and gums. I had some deep pockets and a host of other problems. The dentist wanted to do a deep scaling and set an appointment 3 months later to do minor gum surgery. I went home and every day and night I took vitamin D, brushed and flossed. 3 months later, my dentist was so surprised that I was able to avoid gum surgery.
