I do a little of both. I've putting money aside (investing) for my son's tuition. In NY it's called a 529 plan. I have to double check to make sure that is the proper name though. Every month since he was a baby, money is automatically taken out of my acct.
Have you also notice that there are more frequent sales. I know that I Don't have to worry if I don't have the money right away, because a sale is right around the corner.
There is a book that I read recently that addressed that issue of being depressed from not getting enough light and fresh air. I will look it up and post it later.
I brought in my peppermint and sage plants from outdoors after the summer. unfortunately, my cat destroyed the peppermint plant and the sage just didn't make it. Fortunately, the peppermint plant is trying to make a comeback and has a few sprouts.
I love the smell of real Christmas trees but the clean up is a pain in the neck. I mean, I'm cleaning up pine needle until Feb. So I have a artificial tree and burn pine scented candles.
My goals are to cook more healthy foods (using my crock pot of course).
Become a better swimming (which will help with weight loss).
Build my freelance business into a profitable business by year-end.
Also packed with vitamins C and A are hot spices. Not only will it enhance the flavor of food we consume, it also helps if you want to lose some weight. Ditch the salt and turn up the heat.
