Slow Cooked Chili Recipe for Crock Pot

Slow Cooker Ingredients:

  • 1 pound bacon
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 pound dried red kidney beans
  • 30 ounces diced or crushed tomatoes (2 14.5 oz cans or large can)
  • 1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large yellow onion chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper chopped
  • 1-3 tbsp chili powder (depending on desired heat)
  • 1 habanero pepper split open (wear gloves while handling)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1-2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried cilantro
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup brown sugar (depending on taste)
  • salt to taste
  • optional 1 package celery chopped

Place ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for six to eight hours.
