Marinades

I was wondering about marinades. I was looking online at slow cooker marinades. They are fairly inexpensive and wanted to know have any of you used these as a base for your slow cooker recipes? Or perhaps do you enjoy making your own marinades from veggies and seasonings. I decided to order a few marinades online . I wanted to pick flavors that I have not considered o ever tried. I purchased the Campbell's Slow Cooker sauces: Hawaiian Luau and Morocco Spiced Stew. I'm hoping that they taste good.

Which recipes did you use for your marinades? Also, is marinading similar to brining?

I have bought some marinades at the store to use specifically for slow cookers. Some I have really liked and others I had to doctor up.

I have not really searched out marinade recipes, but will do this in the near future and share in the forums. Marinades can add a lot of flavor to the foods being cooked in the crock pot.
