Indoor Grill Pans

I had a dish from Chipotle and it was pretty good. What stood out was the grilled taste from the chicken. I was thinking about purchasing a grill pan. I wonder will it still give a good grill flavor similar to cooking meat on the grill. I 'm wondering if it would be a good purchase.

I have heard of chefs using the indoor grill pans before. It may take a little practice and experimenting, but I am sure you can come close to the same flavor.

This has given me an idea. Maybe I can grill indoors in my fireplace? I have to check to see if I can purchase the right equipment for that type of cooking.
