- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Place 2-3 kernels in the pot, when they pop, add the sugar and give the crock pot a little shake.
- We have found the trick here is to get the sugar to mix and melt with the oil before adding the kernels.
- The sugar will start to melt in about 15-20 seconds. Keep a close eye on it.
- When nicely mixed and just about completely melted, add the popcorn and cover.
When the popping stops (about 5 seconds of no popping) go ahead and pour into a bowl, sprinkle in a bit of salt and enjoy the tasty goodness.
