Crockpot Breakfast Recipes for Kids: Maple Walnut Apple Oatmeal

4 cups water
1 cup steel-cut oats
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 apples, cut in ½" pieces
½ cup chopped walnuts (stir these in right before serving)

Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Add ingredients and cook on low overnight for 8 hours.
