3 pound chicken parts
1 pinch Jamaican jerk seasoning
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch salt and pepper (to taste)
oil
1 cup blackberries
1/4 cup blackberry or raspberry syrup
1 bottle BBQ sauce of your choice
3 teaspoon honey
Remove skin from chicken parts, season liberally with Jamaican jerk seasoning and brown in hot oil.
Place in crock pot.
Pulse berries and syrup in food processor, then combine in sauce pot with BBQ sauce and honey.
Simmer sauce for 5 minutes and season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Pour warmed sauce over chicken and cook on low for 6 hours or until chicken falls off bones.
